A new spiritual project - my Summer reading

Heavens it has suddenly become very hot in Sydney.

Summer this year seemed as though it would never come, and even last week it was unseasonally cool. But here is the heat, and of course all of us grumbling at it.

What have I got to read this Summer?

Well, my darling friend,  the author Rosamund Burton, has proposed that this year we work our way through  A Course in Miracles. It is a long time since I went through it systematically, so I am really looking forward to the project, which includes a monthly irl meeting with a couple of sacred friends to talk about how it's all going.

To help me on that journey, I have gone to my shelves and pulled down a couple of supplementary titles which will encourage me to keep going for the duration of the Course

From top to bottom:

A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson (one of the books that really changed my life - I look forward to reading it again. This will be the fourth time, I think)

Teach Only Love by Gerald Jampolsky

Understanding A Course in Miracles by D. Patrick Miller

Out of Darkness Into the Light by Gerald Jampolsky

Forgiveness: The Greatest Healer of All by Gerald Jampolsky (another really beautiful book that I look forward to re-reading)

Goodbye to Guilt by Gerald Jampolsky

Healing the Cause by Michael Dawson

Living A Course in Miracles by Jon Mundy

Eternal Life and A Course in Miracles by Jon Mundy

Are you a student of the Course and have a book you would like to recommend? Do let me know  - I would be very interested in adding a couple of books to this list.

One more read of sacred importance this Summer. My darling friend and spiritual guide Maggie Hamilton gave me a book for Christmas called The Path of the Holy Fool: How the Labyrinth Ignites Our Visionary Powers by Lauren Artress. I always look forward to Maggie's Christmas book, and as always this one looks utterly intriguing. I am keen to reconnect to the wisdom of the labyrinth, something that I studied at great length ten or more  years ago. I know it will inspire me to visit Centennial Park again and walk the labyrinth there.

Perhaps you would like to join me one day?
